2/3 C. melted shortening
2 C. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. water
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt shortening, add sugar and water then cool. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Combine flour mixture shortening mixture, beat until well mixed. Place batter in a greased 9" x 13" cake pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake in 350º oven for 5 minutes, with the back of a spoon swirl chocolate chips through batter. Return pan to oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes.
