1 lb ground beef
1 c. raisins
1 c. bran flakes (or 1 c. raisin bran)
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
dash of salt, pepper and thyme
Sauce:
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. corn syrup
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Thoroughly mix meat, raisin bran, milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper and thyme. Shape into 8 or 10 balls using 1/4 cup of mixture for each ball. Pace in an 11" x 7 " baking pan. Bake uncovered at 350ºF for 30 min.
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, dry mustard and vinegar. Bring to a boil in microwave (about 1 or 2 min) Pour over meatballs after the first 1/2 hour of baking, then bake for another 20 minutes, basting with the sauce once or twice during last 20 min of baking.

You can use 1/2 lamb and 1/2 pork if so desired. You can also double the sauce if you want more than a glaze. Rus loves a sauce!
