1 pkg. frozen filo, thawed
3/4 c. each finely chopped pecans and almonds
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 lb. butter, melted

Sauce:
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Brush bottom and sides of 9 x 13 pan with butter. Layer 2 folded filo sheets, brushing with melted butter, until 1/2 the filo sheets are in the pan. Top with nuts that are mixed with sugar. Continue with filo sheets and butter until all are used. Cut diamonds with a sharp serrated knife. Cook for approximately 1/2 hour at 350ºF or until light brown.
Meanwhile, prepare syrup in sauce pan until all the sugar is melted but do not boil. Cool in fridge. When pastry is cooked, pour cool syrup over hot pastry.
