2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
2 squares semi sweet chocolate melted (or 1/2 cup cocoa, if you don't have the semi sweet chocolate)
Put all above ingredients into mixer, then add:
1 Tbsp. red food color
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. milk

Directions:

Mix first 8 ingredients, add remaining ingredients and mix for 2 minutes.
Pour into 9x13 dripper pan, bake at 350º for about 40 minutes.
Frost with the Fudge Frosting!
