6 large baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
6 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Arrange apple slices in a greased 11x7x2" baking dish. Combine white sugar and cinnamon and pour over. Combine flour and brown sugar and cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Bake at 350º for 45-60 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is crisp.

You may recall that Mom made a pretty good pie and apple was always one of our favorites. Well, I didn't inherit that talent but I found I could do a pretty good job with this recipe so this has become "Jan's Apple Pie" for our family. We love it when served warm with half and half.
