onion powder
garlic powder

Pre-heat oven to 425º
Season roast with mixture of salt, lots of pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Brown on all sides in a hot skillet with a little oil. Place in a roasting pan and bake at 450º for 15 min. and then lower temp to 350º and bake 12-15 min. per pound. Use any drippings you have and add to heinz beef gravy. Doctor it up with some pepper and onion powder. You may even have to add a little beef stock if you don't have enough drippings in pan.

Be sure to read the weight of the meat and cook accordingly. This was the last dinner I made for Mom's 66th birthday and I read the "price" instead of the weight, so I over cooked this and it was the worst roast beef ever! It tasted like potroast!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, Mom still sd it was good and she ate it. But, really, it was awful.
