Directions:Mix dry ingredients (Flour, Sugar, salt, Yeast) in a large mixing bowl. Mix milk and water in a sauce pan and heat until warm to the touch. Beat eggs and oil. Add eggs/oil plus liquid to flour and mix thoroughly. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. 5-10 Minutes. Place in an oiled large mixing bowl, coat top lightly with oil/shortening, cover with a clean dish cloth and place in a warm location to rise until doubled (about 1 hour). Punch down. Get pans ready (grease lightly.) Cut 1/8 of dough. Roll out to 1/2 inch, should measure 6 x 12 inches. Brush top with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll from the long edges so you have a 12 inch log. Cut with a sharp knife about 1 1/2 inches thick. Place on greased pan spaced about 1/2 inch between rolls. Cover with cloth and let rise again in warm room until doubled.Continue with rest of dough.
For Monkey - cut small sections, about 1 1/2 inches, roll in palms to make a ball. dip in melted butter, then into cinnamon sugar. Layer in a greased tube pan - no more than 3 layers. Leave room for rising (do not pack tightly). Cover and let rise until doubled.
Pull Aparts - Cut 1/8 of dough. Roll out to 1/2 inch, should measure 6 x 12 inches. Brush top with melted butter. Cut into 4 long strips. Stack strips placing the non-buttered side on top of the butter side. Cut with a sharp knife about 1 1/2 inches thick. Place into a greased Cupcake tin. Cover with cloth and let rise again in warm room until doubled.Continue with rest of dough.
Heat oven to 350 º oven. Brush tops of rolls with beaten egg for a glossy shine when baked. Bake Cinnamon rolls and Pull-aparts 25-30 minutes and Monkey bread 40-45 minutes. |
