1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups chopped celery
1 tsp. each salt and pepper
2 TB of water
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can of water chestnuts, drained

Sauce:
2 TB water
2 TB cornstarch
1 TB soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 TB brown gravy mix

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first six ingredients in pan over low heat. Add water chestnuts and mushrooms and bring to a boil. Add rinsed bean sprouts.

Combine the ingredients for sauce and add to meat mixture. Simmer until thickened. Serve over rice or noodles. Add more soy sauce to taste.

New spin: Instead of water chestnuts, break up 2 packages of Ramen noodles. Add 2 TB water to 2 packets of soup seasoning mix, then add noodles and seasoning to hamburger mixture. Serve over rice with additional dried chow mein noodles on top.
