2 cups Sugar
1 cup Crisco
1/2 cup Cocoa
1 cup Boiling Water
2 Eggs
1 cup Sour Milk (add 1/4 tsp Vinegar)
2 tsp Baking Soda (mix into the milk)
2 1/2 cups Flour - sifted
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Salt

Frosting:
2 Egg Whites
3/4 cup Sugar
1/3 cup White Karo Syrup
1/3 tsp Cream-of-Tarter
1 tsp Vanilla
2 tbsp Water

Directions:
Mix cake batter - but don't overmix. Pour into two greased and floured round cake pans. Bake at 325º for 25-28 minutes. Mix frosting ingredients in double boiler. Frost cake layers.
