2-3 pounds spareribs
salt and pepper
1/4 c chopped onion
1/4 c chopped celery
1/4 c chopped green pepper
2 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 small pineapple juice
brown sugar
4 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Place salt and peppered spareribs, meaty side up in shallow pan. Bake at 400º for 30 min. Meanwhile cook onion, celery and green pepper in butter for 5 min. Sprinkle with cornstarch, stir, then add pineapple juice. Cook stirring until it comes to a boil. Add vinegar and soy sauce. Pour off excess fat from spareribs, then pour hot mixture over spareribs. Continue baking at 350º basting occasionally with sauce in the pan for about 45 min or until meat is done. Serves 4-6.
