Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Bagette or other crusty loaf of bread
1 1/2 cups medium sized raw shrimp (cleaned & deveined)
6 slices of thick cut bacon
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup chives or green onion tops
1 large clove garlic
salt & pepper to taste
2 tbs butter
** if anything looks out of proportion, just adjust accordingly, I cook by eyesight, I made this up so these are educated guesses for how much it takes**

Directions:
Directions:
Slice baguette into 1/2 inch pieces on an angle. Cut the garlic clove in half and rub onto the bread slices, then spread butter on each piece, lay on a baking sheet and set aside. You can preheat the oven at this point to 400º.

In a large skillet, fry the bacon until crispy & remove from the pan to drain, strain the fat and reserve 1 tablespoon. Place the reserved fat back in the pan and cook the shrimp in the fat until they are just cooked through and remove them from the heat. Chop the shrimp into a medium dice, chop the bacon into a small dice and stir together in a bowl, add the cream cheese and chives and fold them all together until uniform.
Toast the crostini in the oven until golden brown. Let cool slightly then top with the shrimp bacon spread, decorate with any leftover chives and enjoy! The amount of bread you will need will depend on how much of the spread you use per slice, it's pretty delicious so don't be shy with it. xoxo

This recipe came to me when I competed in a home Iron Chef contest in a warehouse I used to live in. I'm fairly certain it put me over the top to win it!
