2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
1 pkg. milk chocolate chips, 12 oz.
1 c. chopped walnuts, optional
1/2 c. dry-roasted mealworms

Directions:
Directions:
To prepare dry-roasted mealworms, first drops them into boiling water for one minute. Next drain them on paper towels. Finally, bake mealworms at 200º for one to two hours, depending on size. When cooked, mealworms can easily be crushed with a spoon. Next, preheat oven to 375º. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture to insects, mixing well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (optional). Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto increased cookie sheet.. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

This recipe is not for the faint of heart or bug lovers anywhere. We should point out that while this recipe sounds gross, it is very high in proteins and tasty.
