Cookies:
1/3 cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
2 squares Chocolate, melted
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Ground Walnuts
1 1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Milk

Frosting:
1 cup Sugar
¼ cup Margarine
½ cup Cocoa or 1 sq. Chocolate
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/3 cup Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Butter and Brown Sugar. Add egg, melted Chocolate, Vanilla, and ground Walnuts. Then add alternately the flour mixture (1 ½ cup sifted flour & 1 tsp. baking powder) and a ½ cup milk. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 12 minutes. Cool and frost with chocolate frosting.

Frosting:
Mix all frosting ingredients and boil for 1 minute, cool and beat until right consistency to spread.

This is a recipe handed down from Mrs. Mars to Grandma Koenig and Dorothy. It was a favorite at the farm.
