Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This memory goes back to the 1940's when Mom and I would drive out to John and Myrtle's farm near Buffalo Center. In those days people never called before making a spur of the moment visit, so as a result, people usually kept baked goods on hand. The only thing Myrtle baked was Date Nut Bread and she always had a supply in the freezer. As soon as we arrived she would take the bread out of the freezer. While we visited she would set the table using a linen tablecloth and napkins. She then put on a pot of coffee and by the time that was brewed, the bread was thawed and we would enjoy our coffee and Date Nut Bread.
