2 heads romaine lettuce (Mom uses one)
1 papaya
1 large or 2 small avocados

Dressing:
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp papaya seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Tear lettuce leaves into pieces and place on serving platter. Scoop out seeds from papaya and reserve two tablespoons for the dressing. Peel and slice papaya. Peel and slice avocado.

For dressing, place all ingredients in food processor or blender and process until smooth. (Papaya seeds will look like coarsely ground pepper.)

Arrange papaya and avocado on lettuce. Pour enough of the dressing over the salad to lightly moisten ingredients. Serve remainder of dressing separately.
