Ingredients:  
Soak for 15 minutes:
3 to 5 c fresh bread or 3 & 1/2 c stale bread or cake, in 3 c warm milk.
Combine and beat well:
3 egg yolks-(save the whites)
1/3 to 1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Add grated rind & juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 c raisins

Directions:

Pour ingredients over soaked bread.
fold in 3 beaten egg whites.
Bake in baking dish, set in pan of hot water, for about 45 minutes.
350º oven, about 45 minutes
(Reece's suggestion: add 1/2 c chopped pecans)
