2 lb bacon
1 # of sage sausage
1 can evaporated milk
4-6 heaping tbl flour
salt and pepper

Canned biscuits (or make your own!)

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the bacon (save the grease).
cook sausage patties, remove from pan leaving the fat). pour the bacon grease in with the sausage fat. dice up 3 or 4 sausage patties and return to pan. Now make the roux "take 4 heaping tablespoons of flour and stir in with the fat and sausage, heating and stirring until thick and bubbly (may have to add more flour to get it the right consistency)
mix evaporated milk with one can water. pour this into roux while stirring. Cook until thick and bubbly.
Bake biscuits and serve.

This "grandma's family recipe" has more fat than most of us believe in now-a-days! But on special weekends it shows up!
