1/2 c chopped onions
1/2 c butter
1/2 Tbsp dry dill weed
1 tsp oregano leaves, dry
1/2 c flour
1 14oz can chopped tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
4 c chicken stock or broth
1 1/4 c heavy cream
2/3 c Half & Half
Couple Tbsp of honey

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in butter with dill and oregano. Add flour and stir to make a roux. Add tomatoes, tomato soup and stock. Simmer until thickened. Add cream, 1/2 & 1/2, and honey. Heat but DO NOT boil!

This recipe was adapted from a recipe given to me by the chef at the Chickadee Restaurant in Lake City, MN. The original recipe served about 100! :O) Our family has this every Christmas Eve for a starter dish.
