2 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup flour
2 cups whole milk
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Cinnamon and sugar for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Bring cream to boil and simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Gradually add flour to cream, stirring constantly.
Cook and stir until butter separates and rises to top of mixture.
Pour off butter and serve to accompany Rommegrot at serving.
Gradually stir milk into cream-flour mixture.
Bring mixture to boil: then add sugar and salt, stirring until smooth.
Pour Rommegrot into casserole dish, pour reserved melted butter over and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar if desired.

I made this recipe for a Ethnic cooking class at our Senior Center, I kept it warm for 2 1/2 hours in a crock pot. It was delicious!
