¾ cup Sugar
¼ tsp. Salt
½ cup Flour
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Ground Cloves
2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
8 cups Dried Bread, cubed
2 Eggs, beaten slightly
1 cup Milk
1 cup Dark Corn Syrup
¾ cup Melted Butter
½ cup Chopped Walnuts
½ cup Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Sift the dry ingredients together and mix in bread cubes. Stir together the eggs, milk, syrup, and melted butter. Mix into the bread cubes. Add nuts and raisins. Put into greased cans or other metal containers. Cover with foil and steam for 1 ½ hours over low heat. Serve with the Butter Sauce.
