3 eggs separated
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. walnuts
1 lb. dates
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking soda mixed with 1/8 c. warm water
1 tsp. cinamon
1 tsp. allspice
pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add to sugar and egg yolk mixture. Add choppped nuts and dates, then add all dry ingredients and baking soda mixture. Beat egg whites till very stiff and then add to mixture. Drop tspfuls of dough on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for ten minutes.
