4 cups All Bran
2 cups 100% Bran
1 Qt. Buttermilk
1 cup Shortening
5 cups Flour
1 tsp. Salt
2 cups Boiling Water
3 cups Sugar
4 Eggs
5 tsp. Soda

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, combine brans and salt. Stir in boiling water, then buttermilk. Cool to lukewarm. In bowl, cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time, beating well each time. Stir into bran mixture. Combine flour and baking soda. Add to mixture and mix just until dry ingredients are dampened. Store batter in refrigerator up to 4 weeks. These are great and you just have to bake a few at a time. Bake in greased muffin tins for 20 - 25 minutes at 375º
