1 cup butter or marg , softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup rasp jam
VANILLA GLAZE
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 -3 tsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix marg, sugars vanilla and egg in large bowl.Stir in flour and baking powder.(if dough is soft , cover and refridgerate at least 1hr. Divide into 6 parts
Shape each part into strip 8 x 1 1/2 inches on ungreased cookie sheet.Make slight indentation down centre of each strip, using handle of wooden spoon( I used back of paring knife) Fill indentation with 1 T jam. Bake at 350 or until edges are light brown. cool slightly, Drizzle with vanilla glaze Cut diagonally into 1 inch piesces
