1 1/2 C. Flour
1 C. Sugar
1 tsp. Ground Ginger
1/4 tsp. Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 C. Molasses
1/2 C. Canola Oil
1 Lg. Egg
3/4 C. Old Fashioned Oatmeal
Brown Demarara sugar for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix flour,sugar,baking soda, ginger, cloves and salt. In a 1 c. measure, pour the oil, molasses and egg and mix well. Pour this mixture into the dry mixture and stir until blended. Add the oatmeal and mix again. Using a small ice cream scoop, roll into balls and then into the Demarara sugar. Place on cookie sheets and press gently. Bake in preheated 375 oven for 12 minutes. For crisp cookies, cool on the cookie sheets. For softer cookies, cool on racks and store in airtight container.
