3 c. sugar
6 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 c. buttermilk, divided
5 med. eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 pie shell, 9 inch
1 c chopped pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, 3/4 c. of the buttermilk. Then add eggs and remaining buttermilk. Mix well. Stir in the butter and vanilla. Pour in 2 pie shells. Top with pecans. Bake at 425º for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator.
