1 empty old wine bottle

Directions:
Mix flour and shortening till crumbly, then add milk. Mix lightly and roll out. I bought a bottle of wine in 1948 and used the empty bottle for a rolling pin. I still have it. I cut out the biscuit with a cream can. Put on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 450º till done.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Aunt Edith (Clagg) Flora made great big cat-head biscuits, which the kids would enjoy when they went to stay at her house. She and her husband rented a house on Rt. 2 near Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va. They later moved to Ohio. -William T. "Bill" Moore
