4 c. flour
1 c. lard
1/2 c. crisco
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. water

1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. tapioca
1 tsp. cinnamon
15-20 apples, peeled and sliced

Directions:

Mix flour, lard, crisco, baking powder and salt. Add egg, vinegar and water. Roll out and put into pie pan. Glaze bottom crust with egg white. Trim sides. Poke holes with fork in bottom crust.

Mix sugar, tapioca and cinnamon together and lightly cover the bottom crust. Layer apples and cinnamon mixture. Before putting on top crust, sprinkle on more cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake at 425º for 10 minutes, then lower to 325º for 45 minutes. Crust should be brown on the bottom.
