3/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp Water
1 large egg
2 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons active dry yeast (or 1 1/2 teaspoons fast rise yeast)
3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, frozen

Directions:

Add lukewarm water and egg to pan.

Add flour, salt and sugar to pan. Tap pan to settle dry ingredients, then level ingredients, pushing some of the mixture into corners. Place butter into corners of pan.

Make a well in center of dry ingredients; add yeast. Lock pan into bread maker.

Program for basic/specialty and desired bread color. Start bread maker. When alert sounds during kneading period add FROZEN cheese. Close cover. When done, turn off and remove bread from pan. Cool on rack before slicing.

Makes 1 1/2 pound loaf. Make sure cheese is frozen when added at the alert for best results.
