4 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter, soft, not melted
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tblsp. hot water
3 eggs, beaten lightly
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream soft butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add soda and water. Mix cinnamon and salt in with the flour and add gradually. Mix until all flour is mixed in.
Pack into two long loaves, wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight. Cut into 1/4" slices. Bake at 325º for 15 minutes.
