1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
2 tbsp cold water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1 tsp almond flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cut with pastry blender or fork the butter, flour and water to make a crust - divide crust dough in half. Pat dough into 2 long strips each 12 by 3 on a cookie sheet.

Heat to rolling boil the butter and water - remove from heat and quickly stir in 1 cup flour. Add separately 3 eggs unbeaten - but beat well after each egg until dough is smooth. Add almond flavoring. Spread evenly over the two crusts. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Frost with almond flavored butter frosting.

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp buttermilk or milk
1 tsp almond flavoring
3 cups powdered sugar
Put all ingredients in bowl and beat with electric mixer for 3 minutes.
