1 1/2 c. prunes, divided
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar, divided
1 1/4 c. cream, scalded
3 Tbsp.cornstarch
1/4 c. salt
3 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla

MERINGUE
3 egg whites
6 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add water and 1/2 cup sugar to prunes and let set. Scald cream in double boiler and add remaining 1/2 cup sugar mixed with cornstarch and salt. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add prune mixture and 3 beaten egg yolks. Stir and cook slowly until thick. Add cinnamon and vanilla. Cool slightly and pour into a baked pie shell.

Meringue: Beat egg whites until frothy, slowly adding sugar. Cover pie with meringue. Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes.
