4 cups unpared zucchini thinly sliced
1 cup onion thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
buttered bread crumbs - I usually use about 3 slices bread and 2 tbsp butter.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook zucchini and onion in small amount boiling water until tender. In a saucepan melt butter, blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once and cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Combine sauce with cooked vegetables. Place in 10x6x1 1/2 inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheese and then buttered crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes.
