3/4 cup boiled water
1 package (4-serving size) cranberry-flavored gelatin (cherry or orange are also nice)
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
1 can (16 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 can (8 1/4 oz) crushed pineapple in syrup, undrained
1 small can mandarin oranges, drained
the zest from one orange

Pour the boiling water on gelatin in medium bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in the remaining ingredients.

Pour mixture into an elegant serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, or until firm. Garnish with cranberries and orange zest, if desired.
