1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients and oatmeal. Roll on floured board to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut in diamonds. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 350º
