1 lb butter
2 cups water
6 tbsp flour

1 cup flour
1 qt milk

Directions:
Directions:
Boil 2 cups water with 1 lb butter for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle on 6 tbsp flour. Boil until fat comes out. Take off fat.
Add 1 qt warm milk to first ingredients (half at a time). Bring to a boil. Sprinkle 1 cup flour into mixture a little at a time. Boil all.

This recipe is exactly as written down by Bernt Overgaard. The 'O' in 'Grod' should have two dots above it. It was tradition to serve at Christmas. Present day recipes call this Rommegrot.
