1 c. shortening 2 c flour
1 c. sugar 1 tsp. soda
1 c. pumpkin 1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar & pumpkin. Add eggs and mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients & raisins. Drop from a spoon on to cookie sheet & bake at 375º for 10 - 12 minutes.
FROSTING:
3 tbsp. butter 1 c. powdered sugar
4 tsp. milk 3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar

Cook butter, milk & brown sugar until dissolved. Cool & add powdered sugar & vanilla. Spread on warm cookies.
