For sauce:
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 T. cooking oil
1 can tomato juice
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
1 T. chili sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

For meat filling:
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 egg
1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, diced
3 slices moist bread
1/2 cup milk
Salt
Pepper
Parsley

For cheese filling:
1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, dices
2 lbs. Ricotta cheese (or Pot cheese)
2 eggs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Pepper
Salt
Parsley

Directions:
Directions:
For sauce: Brown onions and garlic in cooking oil in skillet. Add other ingredients and simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove garlic clove.
For meat filling: season meat well with salt, pepper & parsley. Mix thoroughly and fill manicotti noodles.
For cheese filling: Mix thoroughly and fill manicotti.
Pour 1/2 sauce over stuffed manicotti. Bake at 350º for 25-35 minutes. Pour remaining sauce over baked manicotti. Sprinkle servings with grated cheese.
