1 lb of ground beef
1 chopped onion--fine
1 medium cabbage, chop coarsely
1 can tomato soup

Directions:
Directions:
Make a layer of chopped cabbage in casserole.
Add your browned beef mixture and top with another layer of cabbage.
Pour the tomato soup over the top.
DO NOT dilute the soup and do not mix.
This does shrink so you fill your casserole to the top..the cabbage creates it own juice.
Cover and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

This was a favorite of Mom's.. she always had hamburger, and from the garden came the huge heads of cabbage..
