4c flour 2 lbs finely chopped walnuts
½ tsp salt ¼ c milk
2 sticks margarine 1 c sugar
1 packet of yeast 1 tsp vanilla
1 c cold milk 3 egg whites (stiffly beaten)
3 egg yolks – beaten ¾ tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Mix flour and salt (leaving about ¼ c of flour for kneading) cut in margarine like for pie crust. Mix yeast with cold milk and add the beaten egg yolks. Add this mixture to the flour and knead on bread board until smooth and elastic. Add the remaining flour as needed. Refrigerate overnight or until ready to use. Cut dough into 8 balls. Roll each ball into an 8 – 9 in circle on board sprinkled with powdered sugar. Spread the filling on the entire circle. Cut the circle into 16 pie shaped pieces. Roll each piece up from the wide end to the center. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for approx. 13 minutes. When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar.
