1C soft butter
1/2C extra fine sugar( very important)
1tsp pure vanilla
1 1/2 C blanced almonds, ground (use your coffee grinder or a blender/processor will do also)
2C sifted flour
1/2 C powdered sugar
2 tsp fresh grated nutmeg.Preheat oven

preheat oven 300º
Throughly cream butter & sugar. stir in vanilla & almonds. Gradually add flour, mixing well to make sure dough is smooth. Shape into small balls: Chill throughly (aprx 1 hr) Place 3 inch apart on baking sheet. bake for 15mins, cool slightly on sheet, then remove one by one and roll in the powdered sugar nutmeg mixture.
