2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, salt, baking powder in a small bowl.
Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
Batter will be stiff. Spread in 9x13 pan.
Top with your choice of fruit; apples, plums, peaches, rhubarb. Sprinkle crumble topping on top.
Crumb Topping:
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp. flour
4 tbsp. butter
cinnamon

Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.

Cut recipe in half for a 9x9 pan if you wish.
This is a very adaptable recipe, so double or even
triple the recipe. I sometimes used well-drained can peaches, it made a nice and moist cake.
This recipe comes from the late Milda Schultz, I have made it many, many times.
