1/2 c. mixed light and dark raisins
1/2 c. chopped dates
1 1/2 T. butter
3/4 t. soda
3/4 c. + 2 T. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. vanilla
1 egg
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over dates, butter and soda and let stand.

Combine all ingredients, pour into greased and floured pan.

Bake at 350° for 60 minutes.
