1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten with 1 tbsp. water
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter with both sugars. Add the egg, water and vanilla, beating until fluffy.

Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together. Blend the sifted ingredients into the creamed mixture. Add the oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Blend well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350º F until lightly browned (Annejohns usually need 13-14 minutes).
