2 T butter
3 T brown sugar

Directions:
Peel and slice carrots, or use baby carrots. Barely cover with water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, simmer until just fork tender, pour off all the water. Add butter and brown sugar, stir to coat the carrots. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover to let butter melt and flavors to blend. Serve hot. The sugar brings out the natural sweet flavor of the carrots so they taste like fresh out of the garden!
