2 large onions - chopped
1 can tomato paste with 2 cans of water
2 cans Italian whole tomatoes (swish by hand) fresh basil - whole bunch
4 links of Italian sweet sausage
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
4 whole cloves garlic

In a large pot, saute chopped onions, red pepper and 4 cloves of garlic in 1 1/2 cups of oo, bring to a boil and then turn down to perk - add paste and 2 cans of water stir and add tomatoes and cook 15 minutes. Add 4 links of uncooked sausage (prick with fork) and add meatballs and 1 tsp. sugar. Cook for 2 hours.
