2 Cups of pre-cooked white corn meal
2 -1/2 Cups of warm water
1 tsp. Salt
1 lb. Ground beef
Goya all purpose seasoning
Sazon Goya
Hot Sauce
Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the ground beef with Goya all purpose seasoning and Sazon Goya in medium sauce pan, add 1/3 cup of water and cook for 20 minutes.
Combine corn meal, water and salt then mix them until the dough is soft, make little balls and flatten them until you have a circle.
Place 2 tablespoons of cooked ground beef on one side of the circle, fold it over, press the edges down, sealing the meat inside.
Fry in oil until golden. Serve with side of hot sauce.

This recipe is from Barranquilla, Columbia. Empanadas can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner . They can also be made in smaller sizes and served as hors d'oeuvres at parties with hot sauce.
I love Empanadas, especially when my mother makes them for me.
