1/4 cup cubed butter
1/4 cup flour
4 cups water
3 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup refried beans
8 flour tortillas (warmed)
3 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Optional Toppings:

shredded lettuce--chopped tomatoes--sliced olives--jalapenos--sour cream

In a large saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour until it's smooth. Add water and bring to a boil until thickened. Next, stir in chili powder and garlic salt. Bring to boil again, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef, sausage and onion until the meat is no longer pink. Drain, and stir in refried beans.

Spread 1/4 cup sauce in a greased 13x9 baking dish. Spread 1 tbsp. of sauce in the middle of each tortilla along with 2/3 cup of meat mixture and 1/4 cup of cheese. Roll tortilla up, place seam down in dish. Pour remaining sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Serve with your choice of additional toppings and enjoy!
