2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
1 cup of butter, softened
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups of Nestle Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine flour, soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a larger mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir the chocolate chips and nuts.* Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. MMMMMMMM!

For the assignment [from Mr. Mistretta!], I chose my mom's delicious, homemade chocolate chip cookies. I love them because of their chewy center and sweet chocolate chips. It's like having a party in you mouth with every tasty bite you take. It takes your taste buds where they haven't gone before.
