Crust:
18 Famous chocolate wafers-crushed
1/4 c melted margarine
1/4 c slivered almonds
Combine and press into 9" spring form pan and chill well.

Cheese Cake:
1 1/2 c sugar
5 pkg. cream cheese (8 oz.)
1/4 c flour
6 eggs
1/4 t salt
1 t almond extract
1/2 c Amaretto


Directions:

Beat cream cheese, add sugar, flour and salt. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each egg. Add Amaretto. Pour into pan. Bake in 250º oven for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours. Cool for 20 minutes-to room temperature.

Add topping:
1 pt sour cream
1/2 c sugar
1 T Amaretto
Pour slowly over cheesecake. Bake @ 400 º for 10 minutes. Refrigerate before serving.

This is a recipe that Stephanie makes and I have made a few times. She substitutes low fat cream cheese and sour cream and it is fine. She also covers it with raspberries or blue berries occasionally.
