1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. lemon extract


Sift together:

1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 t. soda
3/4 t. cream of tarter
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all and stir in 1/2 c. chopped nuts or raisins. Roll into size of walnut, place 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with fork, dipped in flour. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400º.
